Important Visa Information

All foreign visitors to the Czech Republic must possess a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival. Only a select number of countries have visa requirements for entry into the Czech Republic as a tourist.

If you are a citizen of a country for which the Czech Republic requires a visa, please contact the Czech Embassy or Consulate in your country immediately for a visa application package. Here is a complete list of contact information for Czech Embassies throughout the world. You will require an official letter of invitation from us to present to the Czech Embassy as part of your visa application. You will receive this letter upon formal acceptance to attend the conference.

Citizens of the following countries are NOT required to have a visa for tourism to the Czech Republic:

For stays of up to 30 days:

Citizens of European Union (EU) countries (Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom), citizens of European Economic Area (EEA) countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway), and citizens of Switzerland , also do NOT require any visa for any type of visit or stay in the Czech Republic. However, it is recommended that the holders of passports from these countries have travel document (passport) validity which exceeds the period of time they intend to spend in the Czech Republic by at least 90 days, otherwise the entry into the Czech Republic can be denied at the border crossing by the Foreigners Police.
